Well done Bank Credit card company!

The projected leg of our journey from Copenhagen to Bornholm was looking a bit wobbly last Tuesday morning when we got an e-mail from the only airline then flying to Bornholm to say that they were bankrupt and our tickets were worthless.
"Alle flybilletter er dermed blevet annulleret." We get the picture even in Danish.
So we contacted the bank by phone.
The man said I was the first to call, and that he would note the bankruptcy because others would be sure to be in the same boat (or plane, so to speak). He told me where to download a dispute form. So I did that, filled it out (very simple) and faxed it in on Tuesday night.
I was reconciling my credit card just now (Saturday), and lo and behold! a full refund in my account backdated to the date of purchase in the previous (March) statement.
Not more than 3 business days to get a refund! Total satisfaction!

@ Bornholm ahoy!

Boire: A piece of France in Collingwood

A review in a free cafe monthly (The Melbourne Review) led us to this delightful eatery where the emphasis is on French wine and French style cooking using sources from local farmers' markets.
There is no phone and no booking but the enjoyment is found at 92 Smith Street.

We enjoyed a kir royale with our quail eggs and broccoli stems. Stuffed zucchini flowers and beef croquettes completed an entree selection. A glass of cahors red accompanied our pork sausage and lamb necks.
We both gourmandised on the chocolate gateau, unwisely passing over the owner's recommendation to alternate with lemon meringue tart, which was a delight to the eyes as we watched it served to another customer.
An excellent evening concluded with cafe gascon, espresso with 15ml of eau de vie.
