Moving On

Wednesday was spent cleaning the summer house and heading for Copenhagen where we spent the night in a very strange hotel near the airport. This hotel was totally functional, accessed by a code once the room was paid for. Henriette had done this online which is the only way to book the place. It was very cheap, about $67 for the night and for that you get a bed with access to a shared bathroom and a towel. It is purpose built for an early start which is what we had. Our flight was at 8am and proved uneventful. We arrived in Krakow at 9.30am and stopped for breakfast in the hotel as our room was not ready. Then we took a walk through the local cemetery looking for an ancestor but because of the state of the cemetery were unable to find it. We may have another try. Now we are sitting in a rather grand but very old fashioned room which seems to be similar to the apartments that my parents grew up in in Vienna given that there is a strong sense of the 1930's in the furniture.
It is very warm here and humid.
Jeremy and Xanthe are with us so we hope that we can find things to do that X will enjoy. At present she is colouring in a princess! That is one of her favourite activities.

  1. Your warmth in Krakow is in contrast to the cold wind we're experiencing at Cape Schanck (albeit the cold here is to be expected at this time of year).
